Valentine’s Day is all about red and pink and flowers and LOVE. What better way to celebrate than to shower your loved ones with something lovely…and there’s something lovely about a set table…like it’s complete once it has some pretty plates on it. We rarely eat at our dining room table because, well, babies and yogurt. But every now and then, it’s nice to treat everyone to a lovely table. And frankly, I like walking by a set table. This one was a breeze to set up. I basically stole the flowers from around my house.
I spotted these white heart plates from The White Company and couldn’t resist. Make sure you use a promo code or wait until they’re on sale. They are pricey at $32 for the large and $13 for the small plate but great quality and will last. With everything in design you splurge and you save. Colors come and go but a plain white, handmade heart-shaped plate from Portugal…sign me up. You can find them here. The small plates I tied with a bit of red and white bakers twine.
I saved on this tablescape using flowers and bulbs I already had in my house and put them on the table. That stubborn Amaryllis from Target was suppose to bloom in time for Christmas (and was also suppose to be white). It is just now gracing us with its presence so it found its way to the table too.
The pretty teal splotch glasses were from Anthropologie. I bought them on clearance about a year ago. They are unfortunately sold out.
The disposable wood silverware were leftovers from Kai’s birthday party. They are durable and add a whimsical, natural touch. You can get them here.
I don’t like to buy linens but rather use what I have but when I spotted these I couldn’t resist. They are lovely and over the top colorful. They are from Anthropologie and you can get them here. The placemats are from World Market. I bought them on sale after Christmas last year. World Market has some great sales so wait patiently and you’ll get them at a steal. You can shop them here.
Wishing you all a very happy love day!
