It’s been weeks of gloom here in New England and we’ve all been going a bit stir crazy. A collective crazy we’ll call it. It’s amazing how much you miss the sun when it seems to be on vacation. Which has me dreaming of all the vacations I wish I were on instead of shuttling kids to and from school. We’ve got the Bahamas booked in April and I’m in planning mode for Spain this summer. Sunshine is on my mind.

I’m at a point in my closet where I don’t want to bring in anymore (dresses especially) unless they are 1) unique and 2) comfortable. If it’s not going to be a dress I reach for over and over again than I’m not going to spend money on it. You can get a whole lot of inexpensive dresses that just don’t do anything for you. I’d rather buy less and buy well. Really that applies to all areas in my life but especially my closet. I don’t have this Farm Rio dress yet but I have ordered it and if it doesn’t meet those two criteria, Saks is getting it back. What I love about this one, besides the pretty print is the pleated detail on the straps. All these finds are inspired by sunshine on my mind.
