Today is the start of Serena & Lily’s Friends and Family sale which means that almost everything is 20% off. Serena & Lily really epitomizes effortless lovely and is a brand that I adore. From their pillows to timeless furniture, there’s really something for everyone and many different price points. High quality goods meets timeless style and coastal chic. This is the time to give thoughtful attention to the areas of your home you want to invest in.
When it comes to a refresh, pillows are a great place to start and more cost effective than a larger furniture purchase. We’re in the funky spot right now with our family room because we are waiting for custom couches to arrive. When thinking of some fall updates to my “in transition” space, I stuck with classic neutral pieces that can transcend the color and textures of the new couches. In the time being, while we wait for the new ones to arrive, we’ve moved our old sectional (which had been pushed against the back wall) into the middle of the room and separated it into the two pieces. Initially this was to give me a general idea of how a couch and loveseat would work in our space. I’m excited to show you these little updates as they happen. Even if you’re kinda in a limbo spot with either life situations or furniture transitions, Serena & Lily has pieces that will work for you.
To our beloved stripe chairs I added the Leighton 24″ pillow in white. It has a lovely embroidery pattern that looks striking against the stripes. The soft Milo throw also in white looks beautiful here too and softens the ottoman, especially when you pile white pumpkins on it. Perfectly cozy for fall. I like to offset square pillows with a longer, rectangle pillow. Here the white Eva Tassel pillow in 12×21″ length is perfect and the tassels add some fun.
To our sectional I added the Topanga pillow in Ivory 24″ which, if I had had an appropriately sized insert, would have looked way better. Don’t forget these inserts are sold separately. I had mom brain and forgot I used all my preexisting 24″ ones in the breakfast nook. You can see those pillows here in this post. It’s sitting next to one of my all time favorite pillows from Serena & Lily, the Sarasota pillow which has some of the prettiest embroidery and pom poms.
Because there is so much to love at Serena & Lily and it can be a bit overwhelming, I wanted to highlight a few of my favorite pieces. I’ve invested in several of them myself and can say from firsthand experience how well made and thoughtful the pieces are, really the perfect compliment to family life.
Some of my favorite Serena & Lily pieces that we have in our own home are in our kitchen. From those adorable scalloped edge placemats to the counter stools and breakfast nook chairs, these pieces are sure to become classics and will last for years, even with little boys running around. Here’s a round up of some beautiful kitchen seating choices. Several of these designs are very reasonably priced when you think about a high-end furniture piece and how often you use kitchen seating. PLUS, they’re even more reasonable now with the 20% off for the Friends and Family sale, code GUESTPREP.
If you’re local to a Serena & Lily store, it’s always helpful to see these pieces in person. Plus they are visual masterpieces so you’ll want to go just to be in awe. We had a new one open here in Boston within the last month. It’s visually stunning and a great spot to be creative. If you need design help, they’ve got designers on staff who can help pull these pieces together for you. The local store for us is at Chestnut Hill Square, 220 Boylston St., Chestnut Hill, Ma. My sweet friend Ruth Eileen Photography took these beautiful pictures. If you’re needing an interior photographer she’s your gal. I can’t recommend her enough and her eye for capturing lovely. And remember friends, when you click a link on Finding Lovely I may receive a commission but know that it does not cost you a thing. What it does do is help me manage this blog and stay home with my babies. A very special thank you to Serena & Lily for partnering with me. All opinions are my own and I’m happy to inspire you.
