HOME TOUR

To be honest, as I write this, my mom is in the hospital battling complications associated with breast cancer and we’re all just on autodrive. It doesn’t look good. It feels like a funny time to be posting about Halloween goodies but you know what, I needed a distraction.  So you’re going to have to give me grace as I attempt to do something, anything that feels normal and makes me feel like I’m still functioning. Friends if random, cute Halloween decorations is that distraction for me at the moment then I’m just going to dive all in. Life is funny that way isn’t it? With the power being off for several days here in Northern California at my mom and dad’s house due to wild fire risk, there has been a whoooooole lot of time to ponder. I’ve done enough walking and praying and walking and praying in these last few days than I have in awhile. A beautiful gift really. There is lovely here, even in the hard. There’s not a whole lot of Halloween or fall on my mind but I had a few moments of reprieve and putting this grouping together–just the sheer act of it feeling normal amidst a sea of “unnormal” was welcome to my heart. So here’s some Halloween-ish items to get you all in the mood for those cute little kiddos all dressed up and running down the street.
