I love this time of year! There’s so much anticipation for me as we exit a hard winter season and enter into the growing season. Easter resonates with my heart as season of fresh hope, a restoration in all things and is a time of year I wouldn’t trade for the world. Easter goodies are far down on the list of favorite things but the act of loving my kids well, pulling together charming baskets to delight them is a gift to me. I have memories of my mom pulling baskets together for us, of silly egg hunts and spring flowers and it’s a great big blessing to be the crafter of those memories for my kids. Far from elaborate, the Easter goodies I choose to give my kids are thoughtful. We don’t need more small plastic toys. I’d rather spend a bit more and fill the basket with a good book, quality treats and something fun. Something usable like a new swimsuit or shoes, cute pencils or erasers. I particularly love the Yum Earth brand of candies. I find them on Amazon, at Target and WholeFoods.
