We were at the beach last weekend and I shared some lovely images of the our day on Instagram. So many sweet friends had questions about our beach gear. With three kids and a plethora of stuff, I get it. How the heck do you get all that stuff to the beach? I’d like to think we’ve perfected it by this point but there’s always amazing gear to discover. Here is a grouping of our current favorites and it all starts with this beach caddy. We bought ours a good 4 years ago and it is still in perfect condition, hauls all our stuff and saves our backs.
We were spoiled in California to just drive up to the beach, park (often for free) and enjoy the day. In New England you need to be more strategic because beach days are a lot more work. You have to get there early or you miss out on a parking spot, it’s very expensive to park and then you have to walk over the dunes and board walks to get to the shore. Which is where the beach caddy makes all the difference.
There’s nothing better than sweet beach days with the kiddos. We love Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester. It fills up quick during the summer so leave early or go in the afternoon after spots open. This is the perfect North Shore beach for kids because it is shallow for a long ways out and the big rocks give the kids lots of climbing and exploring opportunities.

We love the Business & Pleasure Cabana and it could not be easier to put up and take down. You fill the edges with sand and it stays put even on the windiest of days. Honestly the hardest question is which print to get. We love the Tommy Chair and the Mini Slings for the kids. All 5 of our chairs fit on the beach caddy even though the Tommy chairs have carrying straps to wear like a backpack. I like the thinnest possible beach towels and picked up some great ones at Target last year. We have a set of the silicone beach toys and the Beach People buckets for the kids. And that’s usually what we haul to the beach. Our favorite beach gear for the long summer ahead!
