Finding Joy in Change–Fall Finds

Well I did it. I sourced things. Feel free to slow clap. I ventured into the world of consumerism for a few minutes and found some fall-inspired things. And to be honest, I think I’m more than ready this year than I ever have been. Odd for me but after the summer from hell, we might as well dive head first into a different season, different things. Different ANYTHING.

I’ll say it again, fall in New England is one big, giant flashing red warning sign its about to be freezing for a long time. Beautiful yes, flashing warning sign, most definitely. But instead of frantically grabbing for each elusive ray of sunshine, I’m fully embracing this. Letting go. Sinking into it. Whether I feel like it or not, fall is here.

If I’m being honest, the only thing I’ve purchased in the last three months is a pair of running shoes (running has been the cheapest form of therapy for my soul at the moment) and a cashmere sweater at a Garnet Hill event last week. You don’t need any of this and I highly encourage a long sabbatical from shopping. It feels great. But we’re each in different seasons. These lovely finds caught my eye as I start to pivot the house into fall mode.
