This Halloween treat could not be any easier but boy are they cute on a Halloween treat table. I used store bought vanilla meringues that I picked up from my local Trader Joes. If you don’t have a local store you can actually find them on Amazon too. Find some semi-sweet chocolate chips, a toothpick or skewer and that’s really all you need.
Start by finding the “prettiest” looking meringues. Some will be cracked or chipped or missing that cute point. I found the most intact ones and added the chocolate eyes to those.
I used regular semi-sweet chocolate chips melted in a glass bowl over a little bit of boiling water. Use a toothpick to grab a bit of melted chocolate and dab it onto the meringues to make the eyes. And voila, that’s it. Could it be any easier (said with a Chandler Bing accent clearly). Add these Halloween Meringue Ghosts to a Halloween dessert table or a charcuterie board and you’ve got some easy and cute Halloween fun.
This is such a great idea! These meringue ghosts couldn’t be any cuter!
Thank you Norma!
Jackie, These are adorable! It’s amazing how two little black eyes make them look like little ghosts! So cute!
Thank you Annie! It couldn’t be any simpler but the kids love them.
