Kid’s Pastel Easter Table

There’s just something about Easter time and pastels. Throw in a few giggly kiddos and it’s the perfect backdrop for some memory making fun. That’s how all kid’s tables should be in my opinion–memory making spaces. So I usually add an activity that makes kiddos want to stay put. Add some adorable paper bag lunches and a special treat or two including those cute take home bunny backpacks and it’s kiddo party perfection.

How cute are these bunny plates!? I ended up wanting them to be layered and didn’t have cute pastel ones to use so instead I used a marker to add a polka dot pattern to a plain white paper plate. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have!

We invited our kiddo’s two best buddies over for this cute little Easter party. Simple and sweet, I premade lunches in brown paper bags, and prior to filling them, trimmed the tops to make them look like ears. Easy to do, just cut a V shape into the top of the paper bag. Gather the “ears” together after filling your lunch bag and tie with a pretty satin ribbon.  Hot glue on a pom pom and voila, the cutest little bunny lunch you ever saw.

I also made the egg hanging above the mantel with some faux Easter eggs from years past and a stick from the back yard. Hot glue them on at varying heights and you’ve got a sweet little Easter decoration.

Make your lunches in advance. It makes it so that all you have to do is pass out a cute lunch to the kiddos and then you get to enjoy the moments of giggly laughter. Whether it’s a birthday party or small gathering, it just makes things go more smoothly.

Especially for little ones, having something silly for them to put on makes meals that much more fun!

BUNNY COOKIES

This little gathering was the perfect opportunity to make those adorable cotton candy tailed bunnies I shared with you all last week. There you can see the recipe and details. So so adorable.

Now sweet Ruthie of Ruth Eileen Photography, who took these beautiful pictures, can attest to these kiddos being crazy monkeys as they ran all around. Boy energy is no joke. She gets an award for capturing the sweetness through the chaos. So embrace the party chaos and you’ll still be left with beautiful little memories. Nothing is perfect and that’s the joy of it all.

FLOWER POT CRAFT

We reigned them in after awhile with the lure of a coloring craft project. With spring all around and it being almost planting season here in New England, celebrate by letting kiddos color their own flower pots. You can easily find these at the dollar store or craft store, even Home Depot. Make sure you use waterproof markers or paint.

  1. […] does Jackie do this? She just had a baby, and she creates and decorates her home so beautiful. Her Kid’s Easter Table looks like it belongs in Martha Stewart Living […]
