Moroccan-Inspired rugs are an amazing addition to any room. Literally any. They add a fun pizzazz while still being neutral enough to go with a variety of different styles. I’ve wanted to use one of these for a long time suggesting them in a couple different projects. Since we’re in the beginning stages of planning Cade’s big boy room design I thought I’d share with you some of the rugs we’re considering for his space. To me, one of these is the clear winner (you may have even seen a glimpse of it on Instagram) but I’m going to keep you on your toes until the big reveal in July. Do you have a favorite?
Here’s some of my favorite black & white toned Moroccan-inspired rugs. Some can be busy with more elaborate patterns and others very simplistic. Some are handmade, some machine made. The pile height, which is how thick the rug is, vary drastically from very plush to thin. Frankly I love so many of these but as always, it depends on what else is going on in your room. I’ll give you a hint, with Cade’s room we have a patterned wallpaper going in above wainscoting so we’ll be going with a more paired down pattern. Keep in mind these patterns are spread out over a large surface area, so some that look busy in the picture aren’t so bad over an 8×10 footprint. I guess it comes down to what catches your eye and calls your heart.
