Fresh linens are a nice way to begin a fresh new year. We recently replaced some old towels in our bathroom with some lovely ones from Serena & Lily. I moved our old set of towels over to our hall closet and that started a “give a mouse a cookie” moment of organization that was much needed. And I realized as I was doing that that I had never actually purchased towels for our “new” bathroom when it was finished a couple years ago. I think I was so wrapped up in seven months of construction finishing that we just moved what we had been using in and didn’t give it a second thought. So it certainly feels nice being intentional about using these lovely Serena & Lily towels for the New Year.

STRIPES–A CLASSIC

I love stripes and patterns. And I’m pretty sure stripes are a classic addition to any bathroom. Because we have some beautifully patterned floors, the Fouta collection was an easy decision. I had a hard time picking a color though because blue usually screams my name. I went with the lovely Smoke/Fog color. They are incredibly soft with a woven, yarn-dyed front. The stripes are subtle and varying widths for interest while being a classic touch in a bathroom. The other side is a luxurious absorbent terry cotton. They are a plush 420 g weight and 100% Turkish Aegean cotton. They’re also eco-friendly and free from harmful chemicals.

We have a small hand towel ring next to our sink and I love having another hand towel thrown over the tub. We invested in two hand towels and two of the bath towels. And I honestly might buy a few more for when these are in the wash. We don’t really use washcloths now that our babies aren’t tiny babies anymore.
