How adorable are these Valentine’s Day gift bags!?! I don’t know about you but my Kiddos love holidays and a goodie bag makes all things sweeter. One thing I know for sure is my kiddos go nutso with candy though so these bad boys are filled with anything but. Any other momma’s out there avoid it like the plague? Michaels had some cute valentine’s day crafts in their dollar section and I added stickers and bubbles. These sweet goodie bags are perfect for glamming up your “Galentine” Party or would be a sweet gift to give out to classmates. For my little boys, it is the perfect little surprise on Valentines Day morning. Since we’re in California visiting Nana and Poppie over Valentine’s Day this year, I brought them with us.
On a hardness scale, this is way down in the “anyone can do it” range. It’s a white lunch bag, a sweet heart sticker and an arrow you make out of paper and skewers. You got this!

INSTRUCTIONS
Start by removing the handles of the party bag if needed. I just peeled it off from the inside. If I had had time I would have just picked up white lunch bags but Target didn’t have any and I didn’t want to get the kids back out of the car at a second store. This is what winter does to you when you live someplace cold. You prioritize stops, haha. I did check online and Party City had plain white bags without handles.
Cut oblong, “feather” like shapes out of the different colors of paper and a few that look like a large arrows (see picture below). I started adding a few pieces of washi tape to the paper and then cutting out the feather shapes so the feathers have some detail.
You’ll need two shapes for each skewer arrow, either both feathers or one feather plus one arrow shape. Feather the edges by using the scissors to cut into the edges. Cut small triangles of different colors of paper, one for each arrow. This will be the skewer arrow tip.
Next cut your skewers. I took off a little more than 1/3 of the skewer’s length with a pair of scissors.
Using hot glue I attached the small triangle tips to the pointy edge of the skewer and the paper “feathers” to the cut edge. I finished the arrow off by tying a piece of baking twine below the feathers.
There you go! Let me know what you add to yours. An easy project full of sweetness, perfect for grown-ups and kids alike.
